Well, the new JellyTelly creative community site is turning into a whole lotta fun… sign up and check it out if you want to, even if it's just to watch the videos people are creating and posting.
Things are really starting to come together for JellyTelly – we just finished putting together the "official" JellyTelly demo video that will get posted online in about two weeks, in time for the International Christian Retail Show (aka "ICRS" formerly the "CBA" convention). The video walks through the concept and shows a bunch of sample programming. We haven't yet issued the first press release to the Christian press, but Christian Retailing magazine couldn't wait and went ahead and broke the story after reading the details on my blog. (You can read it here.) I guess you can't really keep your story out of the press once you start blogging about it…
The bulk of our 3rd party programming has now committed, so the Fall schedule for JellyTelly is shaping up nicely. We've also been running around Wheaton shooting more stuff of our own.
Can't wait to show you all this!
The Vischers are off on vacation for a week, then I'll be in Orlando for the International Christians in Visual Media conference (ICVM) and the big Christian retail show (ICRS). Look me up if you'll be there. I hope you're enjoying a summer full of acronyms as well.
This sounds great! Can’t wait to hear more about it. (Can’t wait for anything, in fact) God bless you on this ministry.
Cool
God Speed Phil Vischer!
Can I just say, “VBS?”
Well, that’s great!
Phil, I have to say that your work has been an inspiration to me somewhat… The ammount that God has used your little hair-brained schemes is incredible, and gives me a bit of hope that mine will get off the ground… (It involves video games, physics, and Pilgrims Progress ala Bryan Rayner…)
Congrats on Jelly Telly’s success! It’s a great idea, and I am sure that God will be using your work to great effect – I’ve been noticing Him move a lot more now, and I’m sure that this is all a big part of a much bigger painting.
Can’t wait to meet you eventually!
I have to say VBS came to my mind as well! (Since I am co-directing and it is coming up very soon now!)
It has been so inspring to hear how you have taken this calling that God has placed on your heart and are doing something with it. We are so excited to see this come to fruition. My boys are spending more and more time on the internet and it will be wonderful to direct the to JellyTelly!
Wow, it’s really going to happen! I mean…I knew everything was coming together…. But wow, it really is going to happen!
Phil,
Finished reading your book. Thanks for the insights. I learned a lot as both a Christian and biz owner. I am struggling as a first time entrepreneur. No aspirations to create a new VeggieTales just trying to run a God honoring small biz in the internet marketing area. Your book was extremely helpful and had been recommended to me by a Christian group of biz owners (C12) that I belong to. Thanks so much again for sharing your experience. I am extremely interested in what the Lord has “on tap” for both of us.
Peace,
Frank Reed
That is Great News! I am happy to see that God is moving yet again in a big way in your life to do His work in a special way. God Bless You and Your Family. 🙂
Well I am thoroughly enjyoing the JellyFish Labs Community site. Check out my very simple video called JellyTellies!
I am looking forward to watching JellyTelly- and I’m not a kid… I’m just past teenagedom though! I like Veggie Tales and I’m looking forward to seeing the Pirates movie when it Finally gets to australia on DVD!! No telling when that will be, but it still feels like we’re in the Stone Age of Video Distribution!
You are cool Phil,
Jonathan
Hey Phil,
I just finished reading your book, I couldn’t put it down (although w/ a 1 year old running around my house I had to) and stayed up till 2 a.m. finishing it! What an incredible story and such an inspiration you are..at least to me! Your faith and trust in God is incredible, something I find myself struggling with a lot lately…trusting and understanding him. Thank you for writing it and for coming up w/ VeggieTales..my son adores the book and (when his attention span holds long enough..) the movies..ok so I watch them more than he does 🙂 I’m exciting about learning more about your new endevour, Jellyfish Labs and Jelly Telly. I’ll be praying for God’s blessings and favor upon you!
Keep up the amazing work!
Erica
