Wonderful!
Maybe Phil should ask her to do a whole holiday series for a WITB calender or something.
Cool. Buck Denver and friends should tackle the topic of Halloween in JellyTelly or something one day.
I agree with Josh. I loved “12 questions of Christmas”, and I think it would be good to continue this fine tradition with other holidays. It’s best to teach when kids are already excited about something.
Of course, with my somewhat cynical nature, I told my oldest that Halloween is about developing courage. You go through scary yards, and in return get candy.
We have a son who gets very distracted and stressed out by straight bible reading and discussion. He is not an auditory learner and needs something visual and engaging to retain information. We watch the episodes and then read the passages now. We watched him this past sunday go into depth with his children’s pastor about Ezra and Nehemiah and why the historical books were important. From a parent of a child that has struggled with learning and communication since early on, I offer my heartfelt thanks.
Hi Phil,
I heard your interview today with Focus On The Family. I plan to order the Buck Denver video for my “grown up” kids this Christmas season. I know my film studies student will especially enjoy that family activity. During one part of the interview you were mentioning some notable stocking stuffers (i.e. oranges and gold coins) that I thought was particularly interesting. Are these items mentioned in the film or is there a place I can go online to get a list and the significance behind each item. It really caught my attention because my husband (French Canadian) always got an orange in his stocking every year. I thought it was just something they did. Pretty cool. Thanks for your help. Allyson
