Okay, it appears iPads are taking over. I'm sitting among about 30 parents at a volleyball tournament (all three of our kids play volleyball). Typically, in a group like this there would be about 6-7 laptops out on tables as parents try to pass the time between matches. But laptops are so… 2010. Scanning the room today, I see one laptop, and SIX iPads with 20 feet of me. It appears volleyball parents discovered the iPad this Christmas, and decided it's much better suited for passing the time at tournaments.
Of course, that count did not include the iPad in my own backpack. So the number should be seven. In about 40 square feet.
Congratulations, Mr. Jobs… you've done it again!
I dig mine. I don’t see too many ‘out in the wild’ tough. A few at coffee shops (which is where I usually work).
I first got mine (non-3G) for testing and didn’t do much non-work stuff on it. One rare quiet night, I sat down w/ it on the sofa… cue the hearts… I fell in love.
I still don’t do too much w/ it but enjoy it when I can (Netflix). My 6 year old and I played Angry Birds on it together for… far too long.
Tip: AirDisplay lets you us it wirelessly as an additional monitor. So cool!
Any interesting/fav apps?
Boy do i love my i-pad! it can be so frustrating though when i come across videos that their format is not supported by “this devise” UGH! But it does warm my heart to know that wonderfully blessed creative people are using the i-pad too.

My husband is already trying to talk me into taking his iPad so he can buy the new iPad 2 coming out soon. If it wasn’t for my tech nerd spouse I’d still be using my flip cell phone and a desktop computer–with dial-up:-)
Yes, and this is precisely why jellytelly needs to ditch flash and use another content format. You cannot access it from an ipad. Optionally, if you just use a different version then this opens up the wii via their opera browser with flash 8 (see youtube xl).
