Episode 110: Oprah as God and Proud Whoppers!

Ok, first of all….34:56 is, without a doubt, the funniest moment in the history of this podcast. Sitting at my desk laughing my head off, and a co-worker stops by. Wow!
Second….the whole magnetic pole shift topic has some potentially devastating implications for the podcast. When they shift, won’t you have to go back and edit all previous episodes to warn against the end of eastern civilization as we know it?
Better than Opera would have been Madea.
christianitytoday.comchristianitytoday.comI think Christian misunderstood the intent of the Andy Stanley article. He wasn’t making a mandate; he was just saying this is my method and here’s why. You also have to remember the tagline for his church is “Creating churches unchurched people love to attend”. Unchurched people think Christians are constantly smacking them over the head with the Bible…. I think this is his way of not doing that 🙂 Here’s the link to it http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2014/july-web-only/andy-stanley-stop-saying-bible-says.html?paging=off#bmb=1
I still LOVE this show, but I was so frustrated by the inconsistency in the Burger King discussion. You kept asking things about whether or not people who were gay or sympathetic to LGBT issues would go to Burger King just to show support for them doing this even if they weren’t normally BK fans, but ignoring the obvious answer! And to make it worse, you actually referenced the answer and then blew past it and kept asking the question. We’ve seen the answer already in crystal clear form with “Chick-Fil-a Day” a few years ago. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. I can count in my own personal life many, many people who went to support Chick-Fil-A during that time who would otherwise never eat there. Burger King will likely see a similar bump, although they don’t have FOX News telling everyone to do so or declaring a special holiday on which to do so, so it may not be *quite* as significant of an increase.
