Ben Affleck takes on Bill Maher, Harry Potter converts to Christianity, and Frank Schaeffer (son of Francis) takes on Christianity Today editors whilst arguing for a new “atheistic” Christianity. It’s crazy, kooky fun on the podcast! (And not a single butt joke.)

Phil, what is your opinion of the Roman Catholic Sacramental worldview? also, what so you think od Chesterton?(besides the fact that his books like the ball and the cross are slightly confusing towards the end)
George Macdonald was not a Catholic. I think he grew up Calvinist and even pastored, but never fully settled into any formal structure. He definitely wrote, however, about why part of being a Christian is looking at the world sacramentally.
It might be interesting to consider Lewis’ turning point on this question: he and Tolkien were discussing myths about which Lewis said that myths were lies though breathed through silver and Tolkien-completely disagreeing-wrote the poem ‘Philomythus to Misomythis’.
One last thing- in response to Frank (e) Schaefer-do you guys think that scientific findings can ever have philosophical olinplications? Clearly science has the power to change our worldview, but worldview is a poor substitute for theology and philosophy!!
