Hearing you guys slaughter movie references is so entertaining. Because of his anatomical interests, Phil should really get the Fantastic Voyage title at some point. Love the idea of an Incredible Journey/ Fantastic Voyage mashup.
Seriously, the interview was great. Just scholarly enough, but good reflection throughout.
A very insightful interview. I’ve heard some conservative Christians say that the 1st Amendment was written primarily in regard to protecting Christian faith from government control but at the exclusion of others (as in “free exercise” only applies to Christians because that was the only religion present in the colonies). This shows that it was just as considerate of Christian sects oppressing each other as it was of government enforcing religious codes on the populace.
