The product placement bell gets a name on this week’s Phil Vischer Podcast, and Phil, Skye and Christian explain how they all know each other! Plus: atheist comic strips and a new Christian “sexy” t-shirt company?! AND Phil debuts a new segment called “Phil has a bone to pick!” …all of this and more on the podcast!

Hi Phil and the Gang! (Is that like Kool and the Gang! Do you guys sing together?)
On the podcast you asked about the origin of the expression “I have a bone to pick with you.” Here is the meaning from word-detective.com:
“Bone to pick,” which dates back to the 16th century, simply refers to a dog chewing endlessly on, and “picking clean,” a large bone. A “bone to pick” is thus a subject or issue that is expected to require considerable discussion or argument. A similar phrase, “bone of contention,” meaning an issue over which two people argue, also dates back to the 1500s and refers, appropriately, to two dogs fighting over an especially choice bone.”
Maybe you could reference this is your newly revamped theme song for this segment.
Merry X-mas, Happy Holidays (or pick your secular, non-offensive, atheist- outreach- friendly closing of choice)
I would like to hear the pod cast theme song sung by the purple, Indian monkey from the Christmas “What’s in the Bible”.
I just came across this website a couple of days ago and I can stop listing to your podcast! I’m glad I finally found a podcast that talks about everything I’m interested in- from movie news to apologetics! This has practically nothing to do with what you talked about but when you were singing to Christian it reminded me of what I read today about how the song ‘Happy Birthday to You’ is still copywrited. So theoretically you could be fined for singing it online, but hey, who am I going to tell 🙂 any way I just wanted to tell you guys I really appreciate what you are doing and to keep up the good work.
