In a special episode, Phil discusses the events in Connecticut last week in the light of Christmas next week, and explains how the tragedy illuminates what even Christians have lost from the Christian narrative, and from Christmas itself.

this is good
Thank you, Phil, for a poignant and thought-provoking examination of Christmas in light of the recent tragedy.
Every year, I have a moment when God breaks through the craziness of the holidays and reveals to me a little more about His incredible gift to us. This year it came through the Phil Vischer podcast, Episode 31. Thank you, Phil!
Wow! I really enjoyed this week’s episode and immediately could not wait to tell others about it. I could tell Phil really has a strong conviction about this and the words seemed very heartfelt. What an insight on current events and Christmas in our culture. The story that was read gave me a strange sense of joy and the tears I shed were of the good variety. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! This is the best thing I’ve listened to this Christmas season. Thanks.
Hi Phil,
Thank you for this podcast. I went home and found the story you read on the internet and read it for my wife and children (though admittedly, I don’t do the voices as well as you do…. must be all your experience with the vegetables). We all loved it so much that we will include it in our yearly Christmas Story Treasure Trove. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the tragedy in Newtown. May we all embrace the One who can save us from this broken world.
This was an important podcast. Thanks for taking the time for it. pvk
Phil, best Podcast to date. You delivered great content. The story you read was GREAT! It was a perfect way to end the podcast.
P.S. This is not to say I have not like the format with Skye and Christian and the goofy banter on serious topics. Most podcasts remind me of my family around the dinner table. Keep up the good work.
