In the first Phil Vischer Podcast of 2013, Phil’s brother Rob Vischer (Dean of St. Thomas Law School) joins the crew to discuss gay rights and the effect on groups like the Boy Scouts and the Catholic Church. Homosexuals, nuns and Boy Scouts, oh my! Tune in for the fun!

I greatly appreciated the Catholic perspective on your show. I’m not Catholic (and would not likely become one), but there are certain elements of Catholicism that I greatly admire, and would greatly long for in evangelical churches, such as the greater importance and reverence of communion.
Despite the description of the podcast, the biggest thing I got from it was the reasons given why people would be turning to Catholicism. The fact that a Catholic service has so many rituals also makes it require participation, rather than a passive audience, and that’s very appealing.
I’m afraid the new ‘Player’ thing doesn’t work for me; I can play it on my PC, but I can’t right-click on it to get a “Save Target As…” menu item to download the MP3 file. I normally listen to these in my car, so I need the MP3 file before I can go any further.
We just added a download button to the player, so if you try that it should work! Thanks for alerting us to the issue and please let us know if it doesn’t work for you. Thanks!
FYI, This episode isn’t showing up on iTunes.
Hey Phil,
What kind of microphones are you using that they are so expensive? I presume they are especially tailored to pick up both the upper range of your ukulele and the lower range of Skye’s sighs of despair every time you pull the wooden tune box out? BTW- got the kids a couple of WITB DVD’s for Xmas and they LOVE them! Great work!
Thank you Melanie, that works just fine!
This episode (#32) of the podcast is showing up on iTunes as a separate podcast called thephilvischer’spodcast podcast and it has the picture of the cartoon car. Not sure if you were aware of that or maybe doing that for the new year, but thought I should let you know!
Its appears the changes killed the podcast. The feed URL changes and the format is such that it no longer works in the apple podcast app… I hope you fix the rss feed otherwise its not really a podcast (if you can’t listen on an ipod)
