Bibles have changed radically in the last 200 years as publishers have added more and more features and launched countless variations. But is this a good thing? Dear Phil –
OH my goodness! Thank you for this interview. I didn’t know this book existed but hope to pick up a copy.
I’m just a layman. But I have had this same revelation that the headings, chapters, and verses seem to divide (butcher?) the bible in ways that can be misleading (Chapters starting with “Therefore”, etc…). About a year ago (-ish), I began copying entire books of the New Testament (from various internet resources) and removing the headings/chapters/verses. It has been amazing to read Paul’s letters AS letters.
We’re subscribers to Jelly Telly and are so very thankful for the teaching you have done through the “What’s in the Bible” series. I never say, “God bless you” because it is used flippantly by so many. So, understand the weight of this: God bless you, Phil. Thank you. Thank you.
Once again, this podcast keeps me saved. Great guest (as always) and great conversation. Angels are strumming their Ukuleles in Heaven.
Great stuff. Thanks for getting Norm MacDonald, I mean Glenn Paauw. 😉 It really was interesting.
