For those of you who are praying for the Hodge family, the best way to stay informed on Matt's condition is to follow this link and sign up to receive email updates from Tim and Sandy. Matt seems to be stabilizing and is showing some very limited response to stimuli, but is far from being out of the woods, as they say. Tim asked me to pass along his thanks to all of you who are holding them up in prayer.

Praying for the Hodge family.
Hi Phil, is there any news on Matt and family. Were all praying God’s will be done.
On a lighter note how are things in JellyTelly/Phil Vischer land?

caringbridge.orgFor updates, you can check http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/matthodge. It’s the blog I set up to keep our family and friends current with Matt’s progress.
Matt is still unconscious. He is at Vanderbilt Hospital where he just had a shunt placed in his head to control the swelling which had taken a bad turn a little over a week ago. He is doing well now. Currently, we are waiting for a space to become available at a skilled nursing facility for Matt to move ti until he regains enough consciousness to respond to verbal commands so he can enter a rehab facility.

Still praying!
I happen to be one of the many nurses that care for Matt on a daily basis; and just walking in everyday to see the consistent Love and Support of his mom, dad, sister, girlfriend, relatives and many many friends; brings you a newfound hope and determination that Matt will indeed come out of this. He’s a brave young man and seeing his eyes light up everyday with his parents by his side; theres no words to describe it (just like waiting for your baby to be born).
I am praying for Matt and his family. May God give you strength, comfort, courage, and peace and healing and recovery for Matt. Blessings, Jeri from Evans, GA.
I am praying for Matt and his wonderful family every day. My prayer is for God to keep you all in his great big beautiful palms during this hard time, to ensure you continue to have His strength and to feel His love and presence. My family experienced much of the same that your family is dealing with now, 30 years ago. If only my family had known the Lord, I know in my heart our outcome would of been much different. God is our strength and only He can get us through it.
Margaret, your a wonderful woman, I pray for you daily, please be safe with all your traveling and get enough rest. Know that you are greatly admired by me and your such a beautiful role model for all of us ladies. God bless you and all your family. Hang in the Matt, we love miracles!!

I met Matt last month while visiting my brother, Richard Ess.
I want to tell Sandy & Tim & Michelle what an inspiration you all are.
As a Mother, my heart aches for you and your family.
I have put Matt on our churches prayer line. Please be assured that many of our ladies & priest will continue to keep Matt in our prayers.
I do hope and pray that Matt will improve and be able to do all the wonderful things in life that he so enjoyed.
There are miracles that happen all the time and we all pray for that miracle for Matt.
May you feel God’s loving arms surrounding you all.
