Well, the good news is that Tim Hodge's son Matthew is still with us this morning (Monday morning). He made it through the night and is headed in for surgery to relieve additional pressure in his head. I don't believe he has been conscious since the car accident Saturday evening, so there is still the question of brain function and long-term damage. But he is still here.
Tim and Sandy Hodge send their thanks for your prayers!
Whew.
That’s a relief. I’m glad he’s alive.
Praise the Lord!
That’s good to hear that he has survived thus far. I can only hope for the best for you, Matthew!
caringbridge.orgcaringbridge.orgUPDATE on Matthew Hodge: He just got out of surgery and they had to remove a part of his skull to help reduce brain swelling/ bleeding. The next 24 hours are CRITICAL. The doctors need to see him awaken or at least some sort of reaction to …stimuli. Tim and the rest of the Hodge family are overwhelmed with the prayer and support for them right now. Thank you and keep praying!
To keep up with Matt’s progress Tim and Sandy (his parents) have set up an online update blog that will email you updates. Just go here and register (very easy): http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/matthodge
Thanks for the update– we are praying and will continue to do so! All things are possible and I am believing Matthew will make it and live a long healthy life.
caringbridge.orgThank God that Matthew went from the doctors saying that he only had a “1% probability of survival” on Sunday to being strong enough to undergo surgery and surviving that surgery today (Monday) .
Tim is posting updates here:

As he says, “still not out of the woods yet” , so keep interceding with prayers for Matthew’s recovery.
Mighty God, please have mercy on Matthew. Please give his doctors the best wisdom and insight into treating him. Please use your endless power to heal his head, brain, blood and muscles. Please give all his family members the comfort they need and please glorify yourself through his life.
