Is it wrong to go to church without your clothes on? Should more Christians be complaining about Cadillac’s new TV ads? Do anachronistic camels disprove the book of Genesis? (If I had a nickel for every time I’ve said “anachronistic camels”…) You’ve got questions! We’ve got answers! This week on the podcast!

there is another commercial where the babysitter raises her fee because the car looks rich…I have problems with that one, too. another GM product. (from $40 to $60!)
the one you showed makes me want to advise the guy to go to a chiropractor because his neck looks stiff.
The brief “If you catch a wild camel – look the other way!” discussion was hilarious… Nicely done.
You all look like nudists without the head phones on. Too much ear showing. I guess you looked like camels with them on. The two bumps are gone now. I guess there never was a head phone in your podcast if you ask the media. wink. Spare us the nudist picture next time. It’s better left to the imagination. ha.
do Mike Nawroki, Tim Hodge, Kurt Hinikie, and David Pitts as gets
It seems you took the same approach with the camel issue as Ken Ham does. You looked for other evidence and alternate interpretations. Yes, it is easier to do with human artifacts depicting camels but we can also look at recent geological formations for comparison as well (floods, volcanoes, etc). You pointed out that liberal theological departments will default to their world view. Evolutionary scientists do also. For as open as Bill Nye repeatedly said he was to new evidence he undoubtedly will default to an evolutionary answer for any such evidence (such as a human tool found within rock formations dated very old). Bill Nye would not embrace new evidence and change science overnight as he claimed.
Poor Reginald. He never asked to be used as an argument against the bible.
As an added twist to the Cadillac ad, the actor (Neal McDonough) is Catholic and has reportedly lost work for refusing to do scenes that don’t align with his faith.
Really enjoyed the conversation on this (I know I’m getting to it a little late) especially the response to the Cadillac add. Also, I liked Skye pointing out that his faith was not centered around camels, which I thought was amusing and spot on. The only issue I would take is that the Yale, Duke, etc. divinity scholars are not “true believers” because their interpretation of the Bible is more liberal, nor is every liberal theologian in the camp that says “the Bible’s power is what we give to it”. It’s too easy to caricature both the liberal and conservative side. I think both groups have plenty that are earnest in their belief and have significant things to teach us, no matter where you fall on the spectrum of theology. Anyway, keep up the great work on the show.
