What do the Dalai Lama and Skye Jethani have in common? They were both at the National Prayer Breakfast last week! Stories from the prayer breakfast, plus Katy Perry hears from God and Ken Ham won’t be taking a cruise anytime soon. At least not a Carnival Cruise.

Elizabeth and I enjoyed your podcast. We agree about Katy and commercials. For us older folks is the blessing of not being to understand the lyrics of her songs. One thing that seems to be ignored from the prayer breakfast in comparing the crusades and slavery to the atrocities of ISIS or ISIL. The crusades were blamed on following Christ. The atrocities of ISIS or ISIL were NOT blamed on following Mohammed or anything to do with Islam. The crusaders proudly claimed their actions were part of following Christ. ISIS proudly claims their actions are part of following Mohammed.
And Phil, before you get on your high horse, Elizabeth and I were at the Okoboji conference in about 1962 just before we went to Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. We were asked to chaperone a cruise for youth on the lake after the evening service. It might be my bias showing, but your mother and dad seemed to be making an effort to get out of our sight. They didn’t make it.
What are your thoughts about evolution? Are you an IDer? And why does Christian think that JFK endorsing evolution is a theological matter? Can’t one be both a christian and accepting of mainstream scientific evolutionary theory – like John Stott, N T Wright, Billy Graham, C S Lewis and B B Warfield? Also, what are Skye’s views on evolution?
That was the best ukelele song I have heard you do ! Dalai Lama and President Obama almost scanned.xx
I just discovered your podcast and listened for 2 hours straight. I’ve loved Veggie Tales for my kids since the beginning, have read Me, Myself and Bob (twice!) and now this. Just the theme song makes it worth the time. Looking forward to hearing many more.
KP is the best entertainer alive presently. Ms. Perry has a wide range and is wonderful to listen to.
