Buck Denver has a new story about the end of the writer's strike. Compelling journalism as usual from Mr. Denver. Also, the British fellow whose company bought Big Idea and Classic Media a year ago lost his job today, after watching his stock price slide 75% since the big purchase. So Bob and Larry have yet another new 'boss'. Will it make any difference? Who knows. (Read the story here.)
More info about "project X" (ooh… nice code name) soon…
I didn’t recognize most of Buck’s quotes, but that last one did ring a bell for some reason…
: )
Phil I don’t mean to be a bother, but I was wondering when Huckleberry Larry comes out? I know they include Bob the tomato and when ever Bob is included. You are too, I figured that you gotta know something about the show/Dvd release. If by any chance you know when, Lord’s Will, please let me/us know!
– Again sorry for pushing. 🙁
Phil,
I just found your blog today and have been entranced by reading your posts about the rise and fall of Big Idea. As a Christian who owns a small business, it was great reading to learn what to do and not to do, and I know it took a great deal of humility on your part to be that honest about it all. Speaking as a dad, God’s used you and your ideas to great influence kids for the Kingdom, and I believe he’ll use you again in your new venture. I’ve added this blog to my reader, and I look forward to praying for you and following you as you begin this new step.
Thanks!
Rob
That’s too bad about Mr. Heap. I can’t imagine the pressure that must go along w/ that kind of operation.
I’ll be curious to see how things play out.
What if there was a CEO strike???
fun with quotes! the bible…a tale of two cities, i think, Shakespeare, and the last one is from you book mr vischer!
Poor Bob and Larry! It sort of makes that whole contracted, creative – contributor thing look pretty good. 🙂
Hmm.
How many new bosses have Bob & Larry had?
I like “project X”… that has some great t-shirt possibilities. 😉
Hey Everybody! I just want say to you all Happy Easter! 🙂
You know they should have a text symbol of the Cross the way they have happy faces.
Hi Phil! Another owner! Omigosh! What’s the scoop? Make a new post! later)

Phil, thank you for your testimony. I have to say that your “failure” cannot be considered a failure. It is awesome that your relationship with God is more important to you than the loss of Big Idea. This testimony has impacted me and another person who provided the link.
May God continue blessing you throughout your life!
Phil, …Brother, did you ever contact Michael Heap? Did you share the Good News with him? Did you give him a copy of your book? Who is more completely qualified than you to win him to the LORD? “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures…” How many pastures can one lie in at once? How does He provide incentive to move us from one green pasture to another? Do we deplete it of greenery? Does it dry up and turn brown? What awaits Mr. Heap at Jelly Telly?
I’m sorry this post is so late — Is it too late?
Loved the books, & still love your Mom’s summation of the Old and New Testaments: “God made you Special” [OLD] & “He loves you very much!” [NEW]
